Activities
Cairn Terriers enjoy many pastimes with their owners such as agility, long walks in the park or forest, game playing with toys, and also quiet times when you need a friend. Cairns also like to hop on the wagon or in a canoe and take their friends for a ride. The Cairn is a flexible, adaptable little dog that can be quite at home in a variety of environments with people of all ages.

Training
Cairns are easily trained for basic manners, but recall off leash can be unreliable. Therefore, a fenced yard is recommended because it allows the owner peace of mind, as well as providing a safe playground for the dog.
Cairns usually enjoy basic obedience training classes, and often learn the lessons quickly at dog school. Early socialization with people and other animals is always beneficial for any puppy, as good doggy manners will be appreciated throughout the dog's life.

Our dog guests stay in rooms in our house, not cages, and they may spend as much time as they wish outside in large, secure runs. Regional pick-up and delivery can be arranged if necessary.
